What is a PWA?

A Progressive Web App lets you install Bella Booking directly from your browser onto your device’s home screen. It looks and feels like a native app — with its own icon, full-screen view, and faster loading — but doesn’t require an app store download.

Installing on iPhone or iPad (iOS)

  1. Open Safari and navigate to app.bellabooking.com
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen
  4. Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen
  5. Tap Add in the top right corner
The Bella Booking icon will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open the app directly.
You must use Safari on iOS. Other browsers like Chrome on iPhone do not support installing web apps to the home screen.
Can’t find “Add to Home Screen”? It may be further down the list — keep scrolling in the share sheet.

Installing on Android

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to app.bellabooking.com
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner
  4. Scroll down in the menu — look for Install app or Add to Home Screen
  5. Tap Install to confirm
The Bella Booking icon will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer.
The Install app or Add to Home Screen option is often hidden further down Chrome’s menu. You may need to scroll past items like Bookmarks, History, and Downloads to find it.
You may also see an automatic install banner at the bottom of the screen after using the app for a moment — tap Install if it appears.

Installing on Desktop (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to app.bellabooking.com
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow), or open the three-dot menu and select Install Bella Booking
  4. Click Install
Bella Booking will open in its own window, separate from your browser tabs.

Offline Support

When installed as a PWA, Bella Booking provides basic offline functionality:
  • Offline page: If you lose internet connectivity, you’ll see a friendly offline page instead of a browser error
  • Quick loading: Previously visited pages load faster thanks to caching
Most features require an internet connection. The offline page is a fallback for temporary connectivity issues, not a full offline mode.

Updating the App

PWA updates happen automatically. When we release new features, the app updates itself in the background. You may occasionally see an “App updated” notification prompting you to refresh.

FAQ

Q: Is the PWA the same as the website? A: Yes — it’s the same Bella Booking app, but installed on your device for quicker access and an app-like experience. Q: Does it use storage on my phone? A: Very little. The PWA caches a small amount of data for faster loading, but it’s significantly smaller than a native app. Q: Can my team members install it too? A: Yes! Anyone with a Bella Booking login can install the PWA on their device. Q: Will I get push notifications? A: Not currently. Notifications are sent via SMS and email. Push notifications may be added in a future update.
